With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Alkalay leverages a diverse set of skills in the research, development, curating, and valuation of customized and fine art.

A Life Dedicated to Excell in the Arts’ World

Alkalay received an extensive education from numerous institutions. In Florence, Italy, she obtained a degree for Interior Design. In New York, she acquired a degree concentrated in Display and Exhibit Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Alkalay then expanded her knowledge at New York University by earning a degree in Fine Arts Appraisal.

Alkalay launched and established her art consulting firm known as SmArtArt Inc. in Deerfield, Florida in 2002. As Senior Art Consultant and President, Alkalay’s multifaceted role provided art advisory services to residential, hospitality, corporate, and healthcare clientele. Over the years, SmArtArt’s success and growth is accredited to Alkalay’s leadership and expertise. Her astounding accomplishments in the firm inspired her to create a new venture and sell SmArtArt Inc. in 2019. Currently, she remains a prominent member of the team and assists in consulting and support services.

In 2020, Alkalay launched her full-service art appraiser and collection management company, AA Fine Art, in Boca Raton, Florida. She attained her certification in Art As An Investment from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, National USPAP Course from the American Society of Appraisers, and ASA Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics from the American Society of Appraisers. Leveraging her skills, certifications, and experiences, Alkalay leads a new team of professional, legal appraisers specializing in fine art, antiques, and decorative arts. She opened her company to new opportunities for clientele to access private collectors and estate managers. Alkalay, as well, added art valuation services for artists and galleries. Her customer service prowess and background ensures her clientele gains a strong, lasting relationship with her company.
